12 Days Chardham Tour (Haridwar, Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, Auli, Rishikesh)

Day 1: Arrival at Dehradun Airport & Drive to Haridwar (1.5 hrs drive / 55 km)

Arrive at Dehradun airport and proceed to Haridwar. Check into your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, experience the grand Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, take a holy dip in the sacred River Ganga, and offer prayers for a safe and blessed pilgrimage.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (180 km / 6 hrs)

Drive to the serene town of Barkot, a place where even silence speaks volumes. Upon arrival, enjoy leisure time exploring the peaceful surroundings.

Day 3: Barkot - Jankichatti – Yamunotri Darshan – Barkot (6 km trek one way & 2 hrs drive one way)

Start early for Jankichatti with a scenic two-hour drive along the Yamuna River, surrounded by lush forests and quaint villages. From Jankichatti, begin the 6 km trek to Yamunotri. At Yamunotri, visit the temple and take a dip in the warm waters of Jamunabai Kund. Return to Jankichatti by afternoon and drive back to Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi (90 km / 4-5 hrs)

Depart in the morning for Uttarkashi and arrive by the afternoon. In the evening, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri Darshan – Uttarkashi (2 hrs drive one way)

Embark on an early morning drive to Gangotri along the Bhagirathi River, passing through dense forests. Upon reaching Gangotri, offer prayers at the temple and explore other key sites in the area. Return to Uttarkashi in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (195 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Guptkashi. Reach the hotel by late afternoon and relax. Visit the Vishwanath and Narayankoti temples, and participate in the evening aarti.

Day 7: Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath (1.5 hrs drive & 18 km trek)

Start early for Gaurikund, the base point for the 18 km trek to Kedarnath. Trek through picturesque landscapes and join fellow pilgrims along the way. Alternatively, opt for ponies or a dolly for the trek. Reach Kedarnath by late afternoon.

Day 8: Kedarnath Darshan – Gaurikund – Guptkashi (18 km trek & 1.5 hrs drive)

egin the day with a visit to the Kedarnath Temple and spend time soaking in the spiritual atmosphere. Trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi.

Day 9: Guptkashi to Auli/Joshimath ( 130 km / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Auli, visiting Gopinath Temple in Gopeshwar and Narsingh Devta Temple in Joshimath along the way. Arrive in Auli by evening.

Day 10: Auli/Joshimath – Badrinath Darshan – Auli/Joshimath (2 hrs drive one way)

After an early breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Visit the Tapt Kund, Narayan Kund, Mata Murti Temple, Bhim Pul, and Mana Village (India's last village). Depending on time, take a trek to Vasundhara Falls (3-hour round trip). Return to Auli by evening.

Day 11: Auli/Joshimath to Rishikesh (9 hrs drive)

Drive to Rishikesh, stopping at Devprayag to witness the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers, forming the Ganges. In Rishikesh, attend the mesmerizing evening Aarti at Triveni Ghat.

Day 12: Rishikesh to Dehradun Airport (20 km / 1 hr)

Check out in the morning and drive to Dehradun airport for departure.
